The New Face of Recovery

Wednesday, January 21st, 2009

Alcoholism and other drug addiction recovery support groups have been in existence for many decades. The desire to remain sober is great but you can always find people at these meetings who have had numerours relapses and consider that to be okay because they were just “slips”. At the same time, you can find people who have been clean for many years but continue to refer to themselves as being “in recovery.”

There is a movement though that is bringing a new face to to addiction recovery. This is the group of people that are going to effective rehabilitation programs that aim to end addiction forever and put it behind them for the rest of their lives. We can help you find facilities like this and to restore power to yourself or a loved one instead of having to accept powerlessness.

Do you want to be a part of this new movement?

How to Choose a Long-Term Drug Rehab

Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

More and more family members today are realizing that long-term drug rehab programs are more successful than 30-day rehabs.  The problem is that not all long-term rehabs are the same, so we have a couple guidelines that you might find useful in your search for one that works.

First, you should find out if they have family references of other clients who have successfully completed their program and remained drug-free.  Another reference would be any sort of documents or letters of support from qualified sources.  These are two excellent ways to verify claims made by a program.

Of course, there are plenty of other things to look out for, such as length, cost, location and treatment modalities used and we can assist you with narrowing the search to find a drug and alcohol rehab that works.
